Vertigo a été une initiative formidable, un foyer de comics d'exception qui ont changé la face des médias. C'est une part incontournable de l'Histoire des comics.
Mais... c'était avant.
Comme le dit ArnaudXIII, qui lisait encore récemment et régulièrement les productions Vertigo ? Il y a beaucoup de raisons à cet abandon, ce désamour, et DC a une énorme responsabilité là-dedans ; mais les conséquences sont les mêmes.

Vertigo n'était plus qu'une coquille vide, qui ne tenait que par nostalgie ; mais ne cessait d'agoniser.
Autant arrêter, alors. C'est tout aussi triste et dommageable, mais plus digne.

Je me régale avec les titres Sandman Universe, les 2 derniers numéros de Lucifer étaient vraiment top par exemple. Je suis rassuré de voir que les séries vont continuer.

Moué non.. pas tout en fait.. rhaaa même si dixit Jim Lee, les titres Sandman Universe allait continuer, pour le vieux fans de Vertigo que je suis, ça fait un peu ascenseur émotionnel, on le tue, on le fait revivre, on le retue, on le refait vivre... même si je suis d'accord avec vous, le monde a changé (en partie grace à Vertigo) donc inutile d'espérer un revival à la hauteur des années 90 mais au moins bien traité le label. Cela dit, cette restructuration éditoriale semble une bonne chose dans l'ensemble, plus clair.

Du coup, ils vont garder quand même le Bendis world et les autres trucs du genre dans le DC classique?

Ben pour bien traiter el label, il aurait fallu l arrêter avec le départ de Berger ou au moins celui de Bond.

Je pense que quand Warner a décidé apres le rachat de Marvel de s interesser à sa branche comics.. ils ont pas compris l interet de publier du creator owned... un peu comme Marvel quand ils ont fermés Epic de la même facon (on "laisse" partir Goodwyn, on change les regles de rémunérations et enfin on ferme quand il y a quasi plus de séries qui "vendent")..
Là on est sur des entreprises qui valorisent leurs propriétés...
Tu vas me dire "hellblazer, Sandman..." Ils ont fait le choix de les reintégrer dans l univers classique.. donc a un moment Vertigo ca parle à qui? a assez de monde pour que ca reste profitable?
Pour moi dés le choix de Harras.. tu sais que Vertigo en a plus pour longtemps.. En tant qu editor et EIC il a toujours essentiellement favorisé le coté lucratif.

Apres ce qui est bien c est qu avec Image et tous les autres editeurs, le lecteur y perd pas pour l instant. Bon c etait déjà le cas avant (a la fermeture d epic, les séries ont partis chez Eclipse, Firts Dark Horse.. avant Vertigo ..)

Je préfère la fermeture de Vertigo qu a une survie sans sens.

+1 à tout ça... d'autant que Dame Berger a déjà rebondit chez Dark Horse pour les nostalgique

A tel point qu on pourrait se dire que c est publié par image :)

David Aja s'y sentirait tellement bien... :D

Investissez vous émotionnellement et pecuniairement dans une série : on vous promet qu elle s arretera en cours de route (Sacred Creatures, Morning Glories, Seeds...)

Ou alors qu'on vous remerciera d'avoir acheté les singles et supporter la série en sortant un TP avec des pages d'histoires supplémentaires qui font que t'as plus qu'à raquer encore si tu veux toute l'histoire.

le souci aussi c est qu elle est arrivée avec une belle génération (Moore puis Gaiman, Morrison, Milligan, Ennis..) puis en a trouvé une seconde avec Azzarello, Aaron, Vaughan et a su s entourer de quelques valeurs sures de Dematteis à Willingham..
j ai l impression que là elle et Bond ne trouve plus..

Qui achète des titres Black Crown chez IDW? Aucun pour ma part.
Je n'ai tenté qu'un titre #BergerBooks chez Dark Horse, forcément, il est à la bourre...

Drôle de timing chez DC... :beu:
Après avoir annoncé la fin de certains labels dont Vertigo pour regrouper les titres, DC annonce aujourd'hui une nouvelle gamme de titres co-produite par Joe Hill (qui fait donc ses débuts chez DC).

Voilà donc la ligne Hill House Comics débutant en octobre avec 5 mini-séries :
